Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang decided to withdraw from the election due to the dreary showing in the New Hampshire.
Yang centered his campaign around the signature, “universal basic income” proposal that promises a thousand dollars monthly income to every American adult. He also created policy positions around the cryptocurrency and broader technology spaces.
His campaign drew a number of supporters on social media, howevver, it did not show at the Iowa Caucus. He receuved zero state delegates and 1 percent of the vote.
Yang started laying off staffs following the news in Iowa Caucus.
“”It is clear tonight from the numbers that we are not going to win this race,” He said in a remarks.
