Budget smartphones released by Samsung will reportedly include cryptocurrency and blockchain attributes, according to Business Korea.
The crypto and blockchain-related functionality included in the Samsung S10 will be included in other Galaxy smart device versions. Samsung also reported plans to accept telecoms companies on blockchain-based mobile recognition cards and also neighborhood money.
Chae Won-Cheol, senior managing director of the product strategy team at Samsung Electronics’ Wireless Service Division, reportedly stated:
“We will lower barriers to new experiences by gradually expanding the number of Galaxy models that support blockchain functions. We will also expand our service target countries after Korea, the United States and Canada.”
At the end of April, an anonymous source told to a crypto industry news outlet Samsung might wind up creating a public-private blockchain total with its owntoken.
And this week, HTC also revealed a low-priced version of its blockchain smart device would appear around Q3 2019 with a full BTC node, in addition to in-wallet ERC-20 token swaps.
