Some Cryptocurrency and blockchain firms promised to help the victims of coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the globe pledged to donate the amount of 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44 million) to the victims of the said virus.
Changpeng Zhao, Binance CEO confirmed that Binance made the pledge but didnt make any announcements prior to the cause, after some Twitter user tagged him in a article about cryptocurrency donations for the victims. According to him:
“For #Wuhan, not realistic to do crypto to end beneficiaries. Binance pledged 10m RMB ($1.5m USD) to help #coronavirus victims. We didn’t make any announcements. But [Binance Charity Foundation] BCF/Binance team has been busy for the last few days. Still need help to arrange logistics locally.”
Krypital, a blockchain marketing service has also launched a charity donation effort for the victims of coronavirus. Krypital announced that it will make a blockchain-based donation that will grant a better transparency and efficiency.
