Cryptocurrencies need to keep outside of the purview of Japan’s rigorous political election financing law, which mentions that donations to individual candidates in yen or through stocks, bonds, etc. have to be reported either by the contributor or the candidate getting it. But, Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications stated that individual do not have to report the amount or source of any assets received in cryptocurrencies.
This news would preferably see as leveling the field for fresh candidates and also for the people with no deep pockets. Definitely, cryptocurrency customers would certainly be glad as they can now support their preferred candidates without experiencing the troublesome process of reporting it to the government.
